Lonely Cry is a group of West Coast writers whose main focus is speculative fiction which includes science fiction and fantasy and all of the other forms spec fic might take, horror etc.

Mermaid, a poem published in Tesseracts 9
The idea for this poem came from my many summer visits to Point Roberts USA. This is the same place where came my inspiration for my short story "The Lemonade Stand" (published in TaleBones). Point Roberts is a tiny piece of US of A surrounded by Canada. I used to go there and party as a teenager. Now, if I go, it's to relax and write. It is a magical place. It is full of nothing which means everything is possible there. Mermaid
