About Me

Rhea Rose
In my professional life I'm a reader, writer and a teacher. This blog is about the life of writing, and the writing here will likely draw upon all of the above. Eventually, I will post my writing for free, both the professional (sold) and nonprofessional (not sold). Look for the covers of the anthologies that contain my work. Go to SF Canada to find some of these. Or wait and eventually I will post those covers here.

To Market to market...

Follow these links to writing markets.

I hope to include uptodated markets here, but really the best places to go are the well known market trackers like ralan's. If you go there you will find yourself pretty much linked to the speculative markets of North America and other parts of the planet. Maybe even the UNIVERSE! Let me know if you find a good publisher on the Moon.

Another good link is Made in Canada or the SF Canada site.

Read on! The missing links are here.

Mermaid, a poem published in Tesseracts 9

The idea for this poem came from my many summer visits to Point Roberts USA. This is the same place where came my inspiration for my short story "The Lemonade Stand" (published in TaleBones). Point Roberts is a tiny piece of US of A surrounded by Canada. I used to go there and party as a teenager. Now, if I go, it's to relax and write. It is a magical place. It is full of nothing which means everything is possible there. Mermaid
